The cemetery was excavated from 1980 to 1989, due to the archaeological
researches made during the building of hydroelectric power station Djerdap II.
In the graves with buried bodies, there were also founds of bronze
and iron jewelry and arms, as well as ceramic vessels of Basarabi type.
The materials were dated in VII century B.C. Beside the archaeological
and anthropological results, the monograph represents the analysis of
the cemeteries and it deals with the problem of the appearance of iron
in the territory of Serb and Romanian Lower Danube in the same period.
